Privacy, plainly
The short version: we keep the minimum we need to run your trips, we never see card numbers, we never store passports, and we never sell your details to anyone. The longer version follows.
Who we are
Gadabout Club (gadaboutclub.com) is operated by Croft & Hugh Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17207269, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Questions about anything on this page: email us at hello@gadaboutclub.com.
What we hold
If you run a club: your email address, your club and the trips you plan. If you’re a member of someone’s club: the name and contact details your organiser added for you, what your share of each trip costs, and whether it’s been paid. If you choose to add your passport’s expiry date so we can warn you before it runs out, we store that date and nothing else about the passport. We never ask for or keep passport scans or photographs of documents.
About being added by an organiser
Members don’t create accounts; your organiser adds your name and number so the club can plan together, the same way they’d keep a list on paper. We ask organisers to only add people who’d expect to be on that list. If you’d rather not be on it, tell your organiser to remove you, or email us and we’ll do it.
Card payments
Card payments are handled by Stripe, a regulated payment provider. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us, and the money goes directly to your organiser. We keep a record that a payment happened so the club’s list stays right, and nothing more.
Who helps us run this
Your information is stored and processed by the services that run the site: Supabase (our database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (the emails that remind people about payments). Each holds only what it needs to do its job. We don’t run advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or rent anyone’s details, full stop.
Cookies
One kind only: the cookie that keeps an organiser signed in. Members use private links instead of accounts, so their pages set no cookies at all beyond what the site needs to function. Nothing follows you around the internet.
How long we keep things
As long as your club uses the site, so past trips and payment records stay available to the group. Delete your club and its data goes with it. Removed members keep only the record of what they actually paid, which protects everyone if questions come up later.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@gadaboutclub.comand we’ll sort it. If we ever get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
